History
Emperor Matrix started on the same continent as Shogun Plux and Pharaoh Aggie. They soon got an early city very close to Kyoto. But because Straland and Japan were so close to each other, Plux decided to attack Matrix. Yet before he stroke, Matrix offered three cities for 20 turns of peace. For a time Straland was suddenly the smallest country of the world. Later on Matrix took revenge and fought Plux with help from Egypt, but took just one city.

Straland has been at war with the Iroquois to assist Egypt in it's battle against the eastern continent. During that war Matrix razed one city with a berserk. After Egypt was defeated by Kemal, Matrix snatched bits of former Egyptian territory. He didn't gain much from it however, because he soon was faced with the destructive force of Kemal.
