My trip to
South Africa

This trip was organised by the Faculty of Spatial Sciences at the University of Groningen. A foreign excursion is obligatory for all college students Human Geography and Planning. This is a personal report for anyone to read, so that I don't have to repeat myself over and over again. The theme of the trip was to find heritage of apartheid in South Africa, and so before we went, we first had to learn about the history of South Africa. I will give you a summary of this intruiging history myself, because it's just too interesting to leave out, and because so much of that history can be 'read' in the landscape and the cities of South Africa.
